We are currently seeking a Test & Inspect Technician based out of Lincoln, RI. This position will handle all service, test, and inspection of fire alarm and sprinkler systems. The ideal candidate holds Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island Electrical Journeyman License, Fire Alarm Installation or RI Sprinkler Fitter with industry experience.
Responsibilities
- The ability to service, program, test, inspect and troubleshoot basic and complex fire alarm systems with limited or no supervision.
- Ability to install is a plus, but not required
- May require some overtime hours at night, on weekends and at a moment’s notice for emergency calls
- Ability to coordinate with contractors, customers, building maintenance personnel, and office personnel to execute daily workload
- Ability to identify code issues and non-conformance issues
- Confidence and accuracy making recommendations regarding system installation improvements
- Commitment to respond and carry out to completion any troubleshooting and repairs on assigned customer systems
- Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail
Requirements
- Rhode Island or Massachusetts Electrical Journeyman or RI Sprinkler Fitter License
- High school diploma is required
- Industry experience is preferred
- Understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, fire alarm system theory, OSHA requirements, and industry standards for fire alarm installation.
- Experience with various systems including Gamewell-FCI, Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, Fire-Lite, etc.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A customer service mindset and proficiency with technology and mobile devices.
- NICET certification preferred but not required.
- Ability and willingness to work throughout Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts.
- Individual must possess a valid Driver’s license and have a clean driving record
