Job Description

Overview:

This role provides legal support to our attorneys by conducting research, drafting documents, organizing case files, and assisting in trial preparation. You will play a vital role in ensuring legal processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Draft and review legal documents for attorney review, such as contracts, pleadings, motions, legal arguments and agreements.
  • Organize and maintain case files, legal correspondence, and evidence.
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and witness lists.
  • File legal documents with courts and agencies as required.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information.
  • Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures, rules, and deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field (preferred)
  • Paralegal certification (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, research methods, and court procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research databases and document management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with high efficiency.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced law firm, self-starter, in need of little supervision
  • Prior experience in a personal injury law firm, corporate legal department, or government agency (preferred)

Work Environment:

  • Law firm environment.
  • May involve travel for client meetings, court proceedings, or document retrieval.
