Inside Sales Representative (East)
POSITION TITLE: Business Development/Inside Sales Representative
REPORTS TO: Director Inside Sales
Summary:
The Business Development Representative/Inside Sales Representative, is responsible for reactivating inactive accounts and acquiring new clients from various lead sources. This role will assist in maximizing sales growth through cold calling, prospecting sales leads, cultivating relationships, and managing leads in the contact management database system.
INSIDE SALES – REMOTE
- Meet Company’s Inside Sales activity targets (calls, emails, meetings, proposals)
- Meet or exceed quota
- Nurture leads and client relationships
- Cultivate relationships with customer contacts to maximize sales opportunities through educating customers on Zep products and solutions
- Execute daily Call Lists in alignment with Customer Ranking, Campaign, and call cadence strategies
- Collaborate with Field Sales Team with the goal of growing the market areas for which you are responsible
- Up-Sell and Cross-sell activity, including add-ons and promotional items to continuously penetrate accounts
- Support sales through outbound calling, e-mail communication, and overall management of sales pipeline through the sales cycle, advancing deals through the steps of an opportunity
- Ask the right diagnosis questions to our customers and prospects to understand their pain points and aspirations. With this basis of understanding, tailor sales messaging to deliver the team value proposition and handle objections effectively.
- Accurately input, track and report productivity and sales metrics in Salesforce.com. Adoption and data integrity in Salesforce.com is critical
- Partner with the sales field organization to facilitate, grow, and follow up with distributor leads
- Identify current customer opportunities for further penetration by partnering with field Territory Sales Representative/District Manager to expand customer solutions
- Function as a cultural leader, embodying and promoting Company vision and values
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required. 4-year college degree preferred
- 5+ years of sales experience in the industrial chemicals industry or related industry
- Exceptional telephone skills – ability to set and close appointments over the phone and the desire and willingness to spend most of the workday on the phone
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills to maximize client interaction during the selling hours while still handling necessary administrative tasks and CRM hygiene
- Effective presentation and customer relationship skills, analytical skills, attention to detail and intellectual curiosity as evidenced by strong industry knowledge and continuous learning
- Strong follow up skills and evidence of over-achieving targets in previous employment
- Strong problem solving, negotiation skills and behaviors and achievements that demonstrate being a self-starter
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong technology skills including MS Office and Salesforce.com abilities and track record of daily usage
- Ability to work remotely
