Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Service Plumber to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing plumbing systems in commercial facilities while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced service environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems and equipment.
- Install, maintain, and service piping systems, fixtures, valves, pumps, water heaters, boilers, and related plumbing equipment.
- Respond to service calls and emergency plumbing situations in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and recommend corrective actions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and plumbing drawings.
- Identify code compliance issues and ensure all work meets local, state, and federal plumbing regulations.
- Prepare accurate service reports, work orders, and documentation of completed work.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding system conditions, repair options, and recommended solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers, dispatchers, and other trades to complete service work efficiently.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Plumbing License preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial plumbing service experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, equipment, and building codes.
- Experience troubleshooting plumbing, drainage, water distribution, and gas piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience using mobile service software and electronic work order systems.
